Description

The BS 7671 is divided into 7 main parts as well as appendices with each one of these parts subdivided into individual chapters. There are no formal entry requirements for this 18th Edition electrical course, but the qualification is primarily aimed at electricians and other allied professionals and trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IET Wiring Regulations. The 18th Edition has been further updated to include two subsequent amendments as BS 7671:2018+A2:2022. We advise that candidates who have completed the 17th Edition (without the 3rd Amendment) should complete the 3 day course rather than the 1 day update as there are substantial changes to cover.

It will teach you how to best reference your book in relation to situations you will face in your working life. This qualification is primarily aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience as well as other associated trade professionals, Plumbers and Heating Engineers, Air Conditioning Engineers, Lighting and Sound Engineers, Surveyors, Consultants, Site Supervisors, Maintenance Operatives and companies or individuals needing to update and enhance their understanding of IET Wiring Regulations. They are comfortable, light and airy environments in which students can learn a wide range of practical and theory based skills. In 1992, the IEE Wiring Regulations became British Standard BS 7671 so that the legal enforcement of their requirements was easier both with regard to the Electricity at Work regulations and from an international point of view. It came into effect from 1st January 2019 and is the national standard used for electrical installation and wiring safety across domestic, commercial, and industrial properties. Various students, ranging from Step 01 and Apprenticeship, to Step 04 and Electric Vehicle Charging, describe the facilities, tutors, and courses at Trade Skills 4U. There are guided questions, test your knowledge exercises and practice questions for each of the Parts of BS7671 designed to reinforce the learning, and some excellent final mock examinations at the end of the course. If you don’t have this qualification you may find it hard to secure work with large companies and agencies, as they may require that electricians working for them have this qualification as a minimum.

If you choose not to pay the full amount today, a member of the Trade Skills 4U team will be in touch to arrange the remaining payment due for the course. From January 2019, the 18th edition wiring regulations came into effect, and all electrical installations must be installed to this latest standard.

However, they may be used in a court of law in evidence to claim compliance with statutory requirements stated in statutory regulations such as the Electricity At Work Regulation 1989 or the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. Alternatively, please visit our reviews platform and see what some of our previous candidates say about us. Upon successful completion of this course individuals will be conversant with the format, content and the application of the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS7671: 2018) 18th Edition Regulations. As such the Wiring Regulations is an essential publication for all professionals working in the electrotechnical engineering services industry.

The IET Wiring Regulations is a British standard for the installation of electrical wiring and is considered to be one of the most important documents for electricians in the UK.
