The exceptional Whitley Neill Original Gin was created by Johnny Neill, a direct descendant of a long line of distillers. Based around the Pleasure Gardens, which existed on Marylebone high street in the 17th/18th centuries, our gin is distilled in Marylebone in small batches in a beautiful copper pot still. Tasting Notes; Juniper, sweet citrus and grapefruit up front leading into more intense floral and citrus notes.From the priory tasting i knew this was a very smoth and Beautiful tasting gin (the strength helps a lot! For larger groups we can still obtain a high level of detail when studied closely and can rely on how light reflects on the completed bottles. Nose Floral citrus blossom and aromatic chamomile, with underlying (somewhat festive) hints of clove and orange. Then, in the 1830s, a Liverpudlian solicitor named John fell in love with Isabella, the daughter of Thomas. Christopher Hayman inherited his passion of Gin distilling from his Great Grandfather James Burrough who created Beefeater Gin in the 1800s.
