Description

I am fascinated by lighthouses and this book gave a beautifully romantic story along with some wonderfully interesting themes including the lighthouse workers and the secret service.

Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook). I realized that I need to continue only when I had a chuck of time, since I knew it would be difficult to stop! Thanks to Netgalley, Avon books UK and Phillips Ashley for an advanced copy in exchange for and unbiased and honest review. I also struggled with the constant reinforcement of what characters were feeling, rather than interpreting it from their actions and words - it felt like we were being walked through emotions rather than empathising them.

Secrets from the past, new beginnings, wonderful friendships, community spirit and the healing power of love, openness and honesty!

The confrontation wasn't as final, and I could easily imagine Simon coming back, but he's a complete slimeball. After her life in London ends in disaster, Eden moves back to Cornwall to live with the mother Sally in the lighthouse cottage she grew up in. With her friends help her business is getting busier by the day and helping to organise a surprise birthday party for her granny means she has very little spare time so, spending any of this precious time with Levan is something she needs to think about carefully. Gloriously uplifting and unashamedly warm-hearted' - Bestselling author FAITH HOGAN 'A lovely, summery read full of secrets and hope' - Bestselling author JO THOMAS An unforgettable tale of romance, humour and heart set against the stunning backdrop of the Cornish coast, from the Sunday Times bestseller. But as she gets to know Levan, Eden begins to wonder if he might be different - until she discovers he's not quite what he seems. A new owner of the cottage next door, might just be the one person who maybe able to change her thinking.

As we were taken around the lighthouse, it was so easy to visualise the setting and hear the sound of the sea.

The setting is gorgeous, but I had trouble warming to the heroine, Eden, and wasn't certain I would like her grandmother and mother. The books setting was in Cornwall as the title gives away and I almost felt that I was there with them on a hot summers day, drinking coffee and taking in the view. Although her chemistry with Levan is clear from the start, it also seems that he has past issues which he has tried to get away from.
