this narrator isn't unreliable per se, not intentionally so, but she is awfully unlikable, presumably contracting a heavy dose of jerkiness with her head trauma.

It was funny how dad was more honest in a book that anyone in the world could pick up and read than he could be talking to me. She does not tell James at that moment what happened, but instead decides that it is time to truly embrace this new identity that she created, which feels truer to who she really is than the girl she was before she lost her memory. She discovers old friends and new friends, not to mention romance–and I got weird glances for talking to a book. The concept of losing one's memory allows the reader to wonder how they would cope if they forgot absolutely everything about themselves, contemplating on the essence of one's identity.

Someone kissed me") is a 2010 teen drama film directed by Hans Canosa and based on the 2007 young adult novel of the same name by Gabrielle Zevin. I didn't feel any significance in his role, like the story would still be the same even if he wasn't there. Zevin is a master at creating gorgeously painful tension that builds and builds until I THOUGHT I MIGHT DIE IF THEY DID NOT FREAKING KISS ALREADY.First, you forget everything you learned-the dates of the Hay-Herran Treaty and Pythagorean Theorem. The two have to run an errand, and they flip a coin to see who has to go and retrieve the item they need.

I love that he isn't perfect, and I love that Zevin was at least not afraid to make his character just the slightest bit dangerous. I also disliked how there was very little resolution w/the mother-daughter issue--it's almost as though Zevin kind of glossed over that part. And then everyone in the fucking car is mad at her because she told him he should listen to a girl telling him to say stop?Zevin uses a good deal of creative license when it comes to Naomi's amnesia--which she's allowed to do, both because it's her book and we still don't precisely understand the workings of the brain anyway.
